Forum Update Number 30

Dear Resident / Residents' Group
First, we would like to thank the 23-odd individuals (plus two of our three of our local councillors) who attended our last Westbury Community Forum on 9 July, at Coombe Dingle Sports Complex, and for contributing to the discussions on matters of local interest.

Appeal - New Defibrillator for Westbury Village
The Victoria pub in Chock Lane has been sold and, consequently, there would have been no custodian for the recently installed defibrillator. Unfortunately, the defibrillator's original donor decided to move it to Kings Weston House before it could be relocated within Westbury village.

Apparently, the Methodist Church Hall trustees are happy to have a defibrillator installed there - it's a very central location for the village. So, all that needs to be done is to raise sufficient funds!

Please contact Simon Brookes at simonbrookes1951@gmail.com for further details or if you wish to make a donation.

Reporting Issues to the Council

Most issues/problems can be raised directly with the Council online at www.bristol.gov.uk
Reporting online can get a quicker response than trying to phone as the reports go directly to the teams on the ground. Some of the most useful direct links are:
Fly Tipping
Park/Green Space Problems
A Street Issue
Suggest Improvements to Local Roads

If you have issues that can't be reported online, or where the Council is failing to resolve them, then you should contact the Westbury & Henleaze councillors, currently:
Geoff Gollop: Cllr.Geoffrey.Gollop@bristol.gov.uk
Liz Radford: Cllr.Liz.Radford@bristol.gov.uk
Steve Smith: Cllr.Steve.Smith@bristol.gov.uk
